We already have the experience of our Home Tutors saying "This is just so much better because I'm not having to force feed my child. It doesn't make me feel like I'm being unreasonable on my child in my demands of them. (Principal, Cairns School of Distance Education)

At this school, teachers use of Webquests mediated in a large part by ICT's, upholds the rights of children with their home tutors (who are mostly parents). Re-aligning teaching so it is based on a respectful relationship with children is a fundamental right of their learning space. The engagement found at the Cairns School of Distance Education highlights the importance webquests can play in re-positioning children's learning spaces so they are more ethically sound for children's learning.
