Web-based Content Management System
Reece High School demonstrates an interconnected team approach to teaching and consequently needs to have effective communication and sharing processes. This is supported by a website which the staff use extensively. The website is a content management system which, among other things, allows staff to upload resources and discuss topics. For instance, it serves a teacher planning role in terms of documenting policy and practices, providing a collaborative workspace for teachers' teams to plan and to connect curriculum and school ICT agendas with learning and teaching activities.
In this example the staff intranet provides a centralised website where teachers can access professional learning documents from anywhere on the web.
Teaching activities are documented by the teams and uploaded to the school's content management system. The following example is from a unit planning document with guided activity for the teachers coupled with hyperlinks to assessment documents, websites and other resources.
